Spring...what wants to bloom in your life?

I walk down our street and all the old growth trees are deep green, the birds are chirping and the flowers and bushes are in full bloom. Spring is here and all the rain has given us the most glorious one I have seen in 8 years of living in the Bay Area. I see all sorts of insects flying around and even hummingbirds delighting in nectar from our trees. It feels like we can all take a deep breath and really feel the aliveness deep in our souls.
When spring hits life is born again and we start anew. If you are religious there are many holidays to symbolize this and if not, you can turn to nature to see meaning.
As humans we need to focus on four parts of our so called "home" in order to find fulfillment and balance: physical, spiritual, emotional and mental. Taking time to breathe life into these four rooms provides the roots that have us grow and bloom in spring and every season.
See below some questions you can ask yourself to launch into spring:
Physical:
- How does my body want to move now?
- What foods nourish my body in the spring?
- What new habits want to be born to support my health?
Emotional:
- What is coming to bloom in my life?
- What in my garden needs to be tended to?
Spiritual:
- What wants to be born in me?
- What is possible if I am "reborn"?
- What does Mother Earth have to share with me in spring?
Mental:
- How does my outlook shape my actions?
- What am I interested in learning about now?
- What mental exercises bring me grounded peace?
